Mariani, an accomplished New England poet himself, with an unstressed Catholic bent, has written well-received biographies of William Carlos Williams, Hart Crane, Robert Lowell, John Berryman, and Gerard Manley Hopkins. He has a prehensile feel for the roots and branches of literary modernism, exemplary taste in what he chooses to quote, and a real gift for exegesis, unpacking poems in language that is nearly as eloquent as the poet's, and as clear as faithfulness allows.

Consensus on consensus: a synthesis of consensus estimates on human-caused global warming - IOPscience

From a broader perspective, it doesn't matter if the consensus number is 90% or 100%. The level of scientific agreement on AGW is overwhelmingly high because the supporting evidence is overwhelmingly strong.

Thomas Gray Archive : Texts : Poems : "Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College"
Some bold adventurers disdain
36The limits of their little reign,
37And unknown regions dare descry:
38Still as they run they look behind,
39They hear a voice in every wind,
40And snatch a fearful joy.

Don’t Trust Whole Foods Natural Claims, or Anyone Else’s | American Council on Science and Health
So "natural" mostly matters when you are trying to overcharge someone. No one who isn't an organic food believer and has seen the prices at the "faux-hippie Wal-Mart" called Whole Foods is shocked by the fact they are overcharging for obvious things.(1)

Nathanael Johnson lets the anti-GMO movement off the hook
http://www.michaeleisen.org/blog/?p=1530
What is most disturbing about the GMO debate – and why it matters – is that the anti-GMO movement at almost every turn rejects empiricism as a means of understanding the world and making decisions about it. The reason GMO opponents have largely rejected Johnson and his series is not solely because they disagree with his conclusion that GMOs are not an existential threat to our existence – but because they reject his methods. They do not appear to believe that the kind of questions that Johnson asks – "Does insect resistant corn reduce the amount of insecticide used on farms?" – can even be asked. They already know the answer, and are completely unmoved by evidence. - See more at: http://www.michaeleisen.org/blog/?p=1530#.dpuf
