AWS transfers your data directly onto and off of storage devices using Amazon’s high-speed internal network and bypassing the Internet. For significant data sets, AWS Import/Export is often faster than Internet transfer and more cost effective than upgrading your connectivity."

Nice article...its really help me out in understanding the working of Amazon services like Import-Export...I tried your suggested tool Bucket Explorer its really amazing...it is so easy to handle and manage my stuff on S3 using it...I always enjoyed learning..its nice to be a part of such a wonderful service...
